Cultural Background
In the past, Chinese people thought the illness of children was caused by evil and ghosts, so they sewed cloth into a tigerdoll to protect their children from illness and bring peace and luck. Also, families would give newborn babies hats, shoes or plush toys adorned with a tiger pattern and embroidery.
Our kit features natural indigo derived from plant sources with easy-follow instructions. This kit allows you to create stunning, long-lasting colour on fabrics. This indigo kit can dye around 250g-400g fabrics (depending on the colours you want).
Since traditional indigo vat-building involves a complex process that would spend 1-2 months and be challenging for beginners, our kit simplifies the experience by replacing the traditional reducing agent with an eco-friendly chemical.
The kit includes:
250g indigo paste
15g reducing agent
15g soda ash
